Expedia, Inc (EXPE), an online travel company said second quarter revenues rose 8% to $834 million from $769.8 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 179% to $114.3 million or 40 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $40.9 million or 14 cents per share a year ago.

Expedia, Inc, in the last one year traded as high as $27.51 in December 2009 and as low as $18.07 in July 2010. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $21.07 the company has market cap of $5.98 billion.
