Amgen Inc (AMGN), the biotechnology company said second quarter revenues rose 2% to $3.8 billion from $3.7 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 5% to $1.2 billion or $1.25 per diluted share compared to net income of $1.3 billion or $1.25 per share a year ago.

Amgen Inc, in the last one year traded as high as $64.76 in August 2009 and as low as $50.32 in May 2010. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $53.37 the company has market cap of $51.13 billion.
