MetLife, Inc (MET), the life insurance company said second quarter revenues rose 71% to $14.2 billion from $8.3 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $1.53 billion or $1.84 per diluted share compared to net loss of $1.43 billion or $1.74 per share a year ago.
